(no subject)

We waited 2 hours in line to get into The Daily Show, but it surely was worth it! We had a fan-fucking-tastic time! Jon Stewart was just great to see up close (looking good!) and was of course, very funny. Richard Lewis was the guest tonight, and funnier than I was expecting him to be. He was rather manic and pissed about McCain/Palin, lol! The audience held about 200 people or so, so there are no bad seats. But we had seats about, I dunno, 10 rows up and more or less in the middle. Pretty good.

We had dinner at Dallas BBQ at Times Square afterwards. I was effing starving! Kiddo was looting calories left and right since my last meal. Also, I can't believe how often I am peeing this early in the pregnancy. Sheesh! Walking around Manhattan is going to get trickier with time. Somehow I suspect I will be semi-housebound by the end of the year. That's fine.

I'm exhausted.

I've got the presidential debate on. Within 3 minutes of turning it on as soon as we got home, McCain called Obama an "extreme environmentalist" for daring to be concerned about nuclear power safety. Wow, that radical pinko hippie!

I can't wait for this election to be over.

A) You were in the same room as Jon Stewart. Okay, envy, envy, rage, envy... And now I'm back.
B) Starving is a good thing. Oh, wait until you have sugar cravings late in the evening. When I stressed, my favorite thing was ice cream with Cap'n Crunch on top at 11:30 at night. Girl, please. Enjoy it now. When else will you get to eat whatever, whenever? While I'm on the subject, do you need any pregnancy books? I think I might have a few left.
C)You may want to start mapping out your route for locations the further along you go. Oh, the pressure on your bladder. If you like Starbucks, that'll help. Nearly all of them have bathrooms and if you tell them you're pregnant, they let you go before buying something.
D) When is Richard Lewis not manic?

A) It was pretty SWEET! And SO EASY to reserve tickets! I only got them reserved early last week.
B) Starving can be nuts. A few weeks ago I wasn't eating enough due to crazy insomnia issues, and I lost 3 pounds in like a week. Crazy.
I'm eating Twix right now ;).
Pregnancy books, um, maybe? PM me?
C) Good advice, thank you.
D) True! I guess it's just been a while since I've seen him on anything, I must have forgotten. Unless he's more so since giving up the sauce.

about bathrooms- yes! this is one thing starbucks is good for; and i don't think you have to say anything but "restroom key, please?" they have no idea if you've bought something or not (nor do they probably care). one of the funniest things from my protest days (not that they're over, never, but you know what i mean, the big huge protesting all and sundry kind) was all the antiestablishment kids (including me) lined up outside starbucks cause it was the only place that both wasn't afraid to be open nor minded a bunch of radicals using their bathroom.

let me know if you need to know places to pee in DC! Having gone through a couple years of fibroids, I know the scoop (and don't take no from metro employees!)

Well, good thing you can't swing a cat in Manhattan without hitting a Starbucks.

HAHAHAHAHA, that's an excellent way to put it.

I have some maternity shirts that I should send to you. They are winterish.

Also - I am jealous of your night. The hunger will never end, and neither will the peeing. You have more blood than usual and your kidneys are going craaaaaaaaazy. I'm still crazy hungry.

[identity profile] yolen.livejournal.com 2008-10-16 11:01 am (UTC)(link)
Ooooo, maternity shirts would be appreciated. I'm a Lane Bryant size 18/20 No idea if I'm a bigger size in other lines of clothing. I don't think so. PM me, or send me an email through my livejournal name?

I figured on crazy peeing, but not *this much* before hitting the halfway mark. Pregnancy bladder is no joke!

Of course you are still crazy hungry, you are bfing! That'll do it.

Also, I can't believe how often I am peeing this early in the pregnancy. Sheesh!

Get used to it, girlfriend. It only gets worse. And, for some of us, it doesn't get back to normal after the pregnancy. I have to wear a pantiliner 24/7 since I gave birth because the tiniest sneeze or laugh can cause an accident. From 30 to 80 in 9 months! It was definitely worth it, of course!

Man, oh, man. Thanks for the warning!
