Look, I approve of teens abstaining, if they're actually going to do it from an intelligent point of view. I did it. Some factors helped with the abstinence (all girls' school, big angry daddy, etc.), but the ultimate decision was up to me. And it wasn't some badge I wore. I didn't think it was anyone else's business. Thankfully, it was backed up by information. I am SO glad I listened to the school nurse instead of my friends. Look, I grew up in a seriously religious environment. Church on Sunday, Catholic school during the week and weekends spent with my youth group, but I knew the facts. If you push an abstinence-only agenda in schools, I'm pretty sure you're going to wind up paying for a changing table in the girls bathroom.
