Ooofa!

Twilight tattoos!. The 5th one down isn't so bad. But the others...oh, man!

I thought this one: http://www.geekologie.com/2009/07/08/twilight-7.jpg looked pretty decent. Most of 'em, though... oh man. I mean, I'm a huge fan of Herodotus, but that's hardly a good reason to go tattooing quotes about Ethiopian semen or giant Indian ants on my arms...

Or is it?

Creepy. The people with tattoos on their chests or backs seem... unhinged. The smaller ones aren't terrible, if only because they can be hidden.

The slashy one is super fucked up. I wonder what happens 10 years from now when those tattoos start stretching and fading.

I really hope that at least parts of that one were done with a pen and not actually a tattoo. Because that is not something you'd want to have to explain to anyone, ever.

Nah, looked like a real tat to me. This makes me appreciate the artist I got 2 of my 3 tattoos from. If she felt someone was asking for a garbage tattoo, she's send them away, haha. She has standards :P.

[identity profile] yolen.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 08:59 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the small one can at least be hidden. The huge work, and the huge script...terrible and short sighted. Better them than me, lol! Dolts!

And that was an awful rendering ogf that Pattinson guy. Just sucktastic.

Seriously. They made him uglier than EW.

Whenever someone talks about getting a tattoo I start looking for pics of my uncles to show them. At least they have great stories about getting drunk, tying their brother naked to a station wagon and driving him around Philly on the way to get a tattoo. What will these chicks have? "I was stupid and easy as a teenager"?

[identity profile] dcdragon67.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 04:16 am (UTC)(link)
ok. wait. i just took herodotus *out* of my backpack cause it's so friggin heavy. now i think i'm going to have to put him back in...

[identity profile] yolen.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 08:58 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, the script was pretty, but just seems like a dumbass thing to have tattooed on. Different strokes for different folks, I guess.

Herodotus is infinitely superior to frigging Twilight, that's for sure, hehe.

Christ in a pickle jar. Do any of these people understand it's a sort of poorly written series of teen angst books?

[identity profile] yolen.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
YOU KNOW?!?!?!!?!!!!!!!

[identity profile] renegade-geek.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 02:15 pm (UTC)(link)
No way. It's totally literature. Like Romeo and Juliet, but with, ya know, hot vampires and stuff.

[identity profile] mizerychick.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 02:29 pm (UTC)(link)
Exactly. It's absorbing and one of the most excellent guilty pleasures I've come across in a while, but how many psychos out there are getting tattoos of Harlequin Romance covers? Have some standards, people.

[identity profile] n-decisive.livejournal.com 2009-07-16 02:17 pm (UTC)(link)
E-yeah. Huh. That's mighty fine ink work you got there, kid.

No.

Although I will say that the "stupid lamb" one made me laugh.
