Sniff, my nephew [profile] amr302 turned 21 today! He came over for dinner and cake and brought his girlfriend with him, whom I had yet to meet. A very nice girl, they make a handsome couple. He's a of legal age, sniff, I can't believe those years went by as fast as they did. I love my baby very much.

My immediate family are in Jersey City, Bayonne and Howell NJ. I don't get to see everyone I like as much as I'd want to, but I know I'm lucky to see loved ones as often as I do, not everyone can say that. Still thinking of moving back to MN?

yeah, but more for when i'd be able to own a house/have a savings for awhile, so like 3 years or so. i wish it was sooner or that i could get a magic job transfer with paid move, but ah well.

my family is all over the country, and most aren't great about communciation. but none of them are east or SE coast.

Feeling Old

My fifteen year old niece was in the Cranford Repetory Theatre production of 42nd street. I was fine with her playing the kid who finds the quarter in the sewer-and starts the song I'm in the money-she has a great voice-however she was also one of the "flappers" done up as an adult in a short skirt. ***flashback sequence*** I remember when she was three-with a binky-snuggled in the recliner with me watching saturday morning cartoons-snap back to reality***damn I am old. Wonderfull and scary to watch then grow up.

I became an aunt at the tender age of 9 so I there's a 22 year old college senior walking around that I still call my "baby", in addition to his now 21 year old brother. Their cousin will be turning 22 next month, and the other 6 kids in the family range in age from 17 (though we haven't seen her since she was 6) down to 2 years old. Wonderful and scary indeed.

What kills me is how greedy my parents are for more grandkids, they are giving me the eye and sizing me up for when I'll be providing a granddaughter (last granddaughter was born almost 15 years ago). They are funny.
