Tickle.com IQ test (thanks [livejournal.com profile] rose727)

Yes, I just *need* to post more stuff like this, don't I? What I find interesting is that I took an IQ test a few years back (I was a guinea pig for one of my friend's projects when he was in grad school for clinical psychology) and my result was 126. I definately scored higher in the verbal section vs. math. Anyway, this little quiz on Tickle.com might not be so bad after all.
********************************************************************************
Congratulations, lissette!
Your IQ score is 129

This number is based on a scientific formula that compares how many questions you answered correctly on the Classic IQ Test relative to others.

Your Intellectual Type is Insightful Linguist. This means you are highly intelligent and have the natural fluency of a writer and the visual and spatial strengths of an artist. Those skills contribute to your creative and expressive mind. And that's just some of what we know about you from your test results.

Books 2004

For anyone who cares, here's the list of books I've read this year along with my ratings of them.  I've been nerdy and have kept track of what I read in a journal since 1999.   Who knows, you might come across something that sounds interesting and can put it on your reading list.

Hippie status has been granted ;). Swiped from [livejournal.com profile] eafm.

http://hokev.brinkster.net/quiz/default.asp?quiz=Better+Personality&page=1

Wackiness: 38/100
Rationality: 44/100
Constructiveness: 62/100
Leadership: 52/100

You are a SECF--Sober Emotional Constructive Follower. This makes you a Hippie.

You are passionate about your causes and steadfast in your commitments. Once you've made up your mind, no one can convince you otherwise. Your politics are left-leaning, and your lifestyle choices decidedly temperate and chaste.

You do tremendous work when focused, but usually you operate somewhat distracted. You blow hot and cold, and while you normally endeavor on the side of goodness and truth, you have a massive mean streak which is not to be taken lightly. You don't get mad, you get even.

Got a nice dusting of snow around here. It's cold, but not frigid like it was last Monday. Still, cold enough to make my bad ankle throb on the left side in such a manner that the pain pulsates halfway up my calf. But that's ok, I'm fine with the pain. It's tolerable and is actually a rather nice reminder that I'm alive. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the 21,000+ death toll from the tsunamis this weekend in Southeast Asia (although people are dead in Somalia as well, far-reaching indeed). Twenty-one thousand people. Swept away into the ocean like so much debris. The final numbers are bound to be more. It must seem like Armageddon to the sorrowful survivors. I can't imagine what they must be going through. I'm feeling so sad for them, but also so very, very lucky and grateful to be alive. I'm blessed in so many ways. So many of us are. I promise to do my best to remember that next time I feel tempted to throw a pity-party for one.

50 grand seems a *bit* much to pay for a cat. Especially when so many wonderful animals die each year waiting for a nice home.

Because why the hell not. Most here aren't that well known to me, but I'll try.

I. Reply to this post, because I would like to say a couple words about you.

II. I will also tell you what song(s) remind me of you when I hear it.

III. I will also tell you what celebrity/movie character/public person you remind me of, either personality-wise or looks-wise.

IV. I will also give ONE WORD that I associate with you when I think of you.

V. We all could use a boost now and then, so steal this for your journal and make someone else's day as well.

17 degrees, wind chill 1 degree.........

Dear Diary:

Today is effing freezing. It is so cold, I won't be seeing my sweetie tonight for I will not be good company if I am frostbit. Old Man Winter can kiss my butt!
I have no light fixture in my living room. My tree is still not up. To boot, I still have to do Christmas shopping for everyone on my list (except for my sweetie & my youngest nephew). Argh!! I will now hide under a blanket and continue reading my book (Lirael by Garth NIx, thumbs up!!) and look forward to tomorrow's relatively balmy temps of the 30's, windchill in the 20's.

My Boyfriend is Awesome...

...because he gave me a digital camera for Christmas. Am still running around in (metaphorical) circles of mirth. Yipeeeee!!!

EDIT: Well, he is actually awesome for far many more substantial reasons, but you know, this was a really nice surprise. :)
