Belated YAY!

Oh, I forgot to mention, I got my CDA (Child Development Associate) credential! It arrived in the mail on Inauguration Day, so I was distracted that day (I'm amused by this as, my final exam in the application process was the day afer Election Day). Then I started to get sicker last week, so I almost "forgot" about it, heh. I'm relieved that I have it but it almost feels underwhelming, especially considering how much $ went into the damn classes and the application process. Plus going to the classes was like pulling teeth, especially after the miscarriage last year (added bonus of sitting at the same table a 19 year old who had given birth the previous October, and another student who got pregnant the previous November when I *thought* I was pregnant, and it had only been her 2nd month of trying. anyway). Oh, and volunteer hours. Not to mention how long I'd talked about doing it. Hmm, I guess my brain is just channeling energy elsewhere.

Anyway, this is good! I am now certified to work in the preschool environment. I have to make sure to maintain the basic requirements so I can renew it in three years. After that, it gets renewed every 5 years. So, when I'm ready to jump back in the work force 5 years or so from now, my butt will be ready. Yay.
