Go check out Palin as President. The site has been updated. Before it gave me good lulz. Now it has me crying all over again.

God Bless our President-Elect Barack Obama. I do not expect him to be a perfect president, but I believe strongly that he is the right man at the right time. I believe he will accomplish great things for this nation of ours. I have hope for this country in a way that I have not had in many years. I cannot put into words the the feeling that I have, that my baby will be born into a time where our country will hopefully be planting the seeds for a better tomorrow. I've been so vitriolic against McCain/Palin because the thought of my child coming into this world with those divisive warmongering assholes in charge was making me sick to my stomach. I was losing sleep over that shit. I'm sure there are many who would think me an optimistic fool. I don't give a flying fuck. I am filled with hope, and it is a beautiful thing.

I am so incredibly HAPPY. I've cried like three times. Thank you!!!

Today, I am happy and life is good. It's nice to be able to write that and mean it.

Many congratulations to eyelid and her husband in their birth of their 2nd son! She is the 2nd of my LJ friends to have a baby this year via the wonders of IVF. Blessings on the little one and his awesome family.

Happy 2nd Anniversary to my wonderful husband, fings! Thanks for marrying me, and stuff ;).

Four years ago today I threw fings a "wink" on Yahoo personals. We started emailing on 5/29/04, and met for the first time on 6/4/04. We'll be celebrating 4 years together, 2 married on June 4th. I love my sweetie!

We got back home from our cruise vacation 2 hours ago. We are tired and glad to be home. Our trip was pretty good, but we agree that we enjoyed the cruise we took 3 years ago more than this one, there were various factors at play. That's ok, live and learn. But still, good time was had, good to be home. Chinese takeout should be here soon and I guess we're going to flop on the sofa & watch a movie, then hit the hay early. We missed our bed! Hope everyone is doing well out there in LJ-land, I will be doing my best to catch up on my f-list. {HUGS to everyone}

And a HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to somerandomchic and boisestudley who welcomed their beautiful daughter into the world on 1/13/08. They had to deal with a lot of serious infertility bullshit for way too long. J & E, I can't really express how sincerely happy I am for both of you and the new addition to your family. She's a lucky girl :). Mozel Tov!

Three years ago today, fings and I met for the first time (and thanks again to Yahoo personals for facilitating our meeting!). A year ago today we got hitched in Las Vegas. Time is moving merrily along. I'm very much in love and in like with my sweetie. Ah, I'm feeling sappy!

Mets swept the Dodgers, Yankees were demolished by the Tigers (so says msnbc.com). I am right well pleased with this, indeed I am :).

...being happily married and shredding correspondence from someone who once treated you like crap and broke your heart. Ugh, yay for cleaning out boxes of crap, I'd completely forgotten I still had this shit!!
