I thought the debate went alright.. and they were about par for their performances, though McCain tended to be stronger on the foreign affairs side.
Neither of them answered Lehrer's question for some very good reasons, I'm not at all surprised they both evaded it... besides, cuts aren't necessarily necessary. (it's a complicated issue)
