Because I am uncool and not up to the minute with things, I only just found out today that Jack White of the White Stripes has been part of another band called The Raconteurs

They just released an album called Consolers of the Lonely

OMFG.

My mum completely digs their "Steady As She Goes".

Really, pretty much anything Jack White touches makes me go "SHINY!" See also the entire freaking Cold Mountain soundtrack.

"Steady As She Goes" off of their first album "Broken Boy Soldiers" is possibly the best song of this decade. I highly recommend getting their first album. I'm still torn on their second one - there's a lot to love, but it's not nearly as tight as the first one.

And I saw them at Roseland a couple years ago - awesome.
