OMFG, I almost had a heart attack from the way that the winds started to blow like crazy (hurled a window fan out of the window, that's about when I jumped up a foot). Lightning. WTF. It's raining hard as hell now, thundering and lightning like a mofo, winds are crazy. And fings had to stay late at work because a transformer at the college blew so IT stuff regarding keeping the computer room ok had to ensue. He's still not home :(.

We had a blackout for about a minute, but the stove/oven and the refrigerator aren't working. I've fiddled with the circuit breakers but no joy. WTF. I am not happy.

Aw crap! If the fridge doesn't come back on soon, you may want to consider getting some dry ice to put in there before the stores close if you have lots of food in there.

That's a good idea, but we don't have a car and I have no idea where we'd get dry ice at this time of night.

We'll have to pull the fridge out of it's cabinet and plug it in somewhere with an extension cord. Damnation. I guess I'll be calling electricians tomorrow.

Anyway, yeah last night was a bruiser. The kids were a bit freaked, but we actually managed not to lose power. Yippie! I friggin hate losing power. Can't even draw water.

That was pretty freaky, though we had more warning up here. It was cloudy, cloudy, started thundering and I started thinking, "What is with this thing? It's never going to frickin rain!" Then bam! But no hail, thankfully.

The other day we had a weird "sunshower" of hail that I didn't appreciate, since I was out on a walk with the girls. The weather has been crazy.

I lived in the city all my life. I love storms. :-) I even went outside last night to dig nature's firewaorks. Hehehehehe. The dog wan't too happy though. She looked liked that little dot you see when you turn off the TV.
