Nothing really important

You know, if a person really meant this "NOTE: I deleted those who didn't respond to my requests to confirm active LJ friend status. To be included again you must submit an emailed request." when they typed it on their LJ user page, then don't you think they would have included some kind of email address as well? LJ is weird, I shouldn't feel a little put off that I've been defriended by someone whose journal I actually read because I was very behind on reading my LJ and so did not get to see the post about requesting active LJ friend status, but I guess I do. I would have responded in the positive if only I hadn't been up to things like getting married, being on my honeymoon and moving into a new home with my new husband last month. I guess I should have been reading my LJ every day when I was on my honeymoon!? Feh.

What a difference a year makes...

A year ago today I was in the hospital, all jaundiced and awaiting a procedure to clear out a blockage in my gall bladder the next day, and surgery to remove my gall bladder in 3 days time. fings broke his finger a year ago on this coming Friday. Wow, things sure did suck a year ago! Thank goodness Book 6 of the Harry Potter series came out on the 16th to assuage things somewhat (my sweetie bought the book for me the day after the surgery in lieu of flowers, he sure did get it right, haha!). And thank goodness I had the sense to pack all of my Harry Potter books to keep my company during that lousy hospital stay from the 11th to the 17th.....oh, and thank goodness for the Demerol that helped me deal with the pain both pre and post surgery....and for my family and fings for being there for me when I needed them :).
