It's bizarre having a crime that happened a 15 minute walk from the street where I grew up (and were my parents still live) be national news. My dad heard lots of sirens yesterday morning, and he wondered what was going down where. But yeah, 5 cops shot is considered pretty damned newsworthy. Hope they all recover. The one officer in particular is going to need some serious reconstructive surgeries to fix his face if he survives this in the end. Man.
